FAQs

I have played at IGNITION in the past and I’ve been able to pick my own venue. Why the change?
Fuse believe we have streamlined the Registration process by allocating showcase slots to artists whilst still maintaining our open-access format. To be clear we make no judgment on who showcases, we are simply simplifying the registration process to keep all artists on a level playing field. We will also be attempting to group genres of music to allow easy access for the attending speakers. In short, you have more chance of being seen by the right people.

Why has the Open-access showcase been split over two nights in 2011?
We wanted to give the attending music industry professionals a chance to see a greater number of bands. This means delegates will have more time to see bands and less time walking around the CBD.

I am having trouble registering online, is there another way to register?
No, but the Fuse Staff are happy to assist you with any issues. Please give us a call on 08 8100 2053 or email info@fusefestival.com

My Manager is coming along, is he/she covered by the Showcase Registration Fee?
No. The Showcase Registration fee only covers performing members of the band. Managers and crew must pay for Conference Registrations separately.

I want to register for a Masterclass, should I pay for it at the same time as my Conference/Showcase Registration?
To take advantage of the discounted Masterclass rates you should purchase the Masterclass and Conference/Showcase registration at the same time. However, if you change your mind at a later date you can log back in to your account and edit your registration. Masterclass passes sell out fast though, so it’s best to get in early! And just to clarify Masterclass fees are PER PERSON not PER BAND.

We want to perform at Fuse@Fringe, why can’t we apply?
Fuse does not accept artist applications for the Fuse@Fringe, these bands are selected to play by the FUSE team based on a ‘export ready’ list of criteria.

Why are there additional booking and service fees on my Registration?
In order to streamline the registration process for 2011, Fuse has incorporated the use of third party registration software Regonline. As with most third party agencies, Regonline charge fees for their service (think of the last time you bought tickets for a major event). We do not receive any amount of this fee. Fuse is still the cheapest music industry conference of it’s kind, and we endeavor to provide the best quality service for the artists and industry involved.
