Fuse Festival culminates with the Fuse @ Fringe showcase, a hand-picked line-up of export ready artists playing at the official Adelaide Fringe Club in Rymill Park. Previous bands to showcase include the Hilltop Hoods, The Audreys, The Transatlantics, The Shiny Brights, Wolf & Cub, City Riots and the John Steel Singers. Included in the line-up is the winner of the Fuse Festival Triple J Unearthed Competition which last year went to Brisbane based band, The Cairos. One lucky band from the showcase will also be given the opportunity to play Europe’s leading festival for new music, The Great Escape.

Goldbloom (SA)

Hunter (from established prog-rock band Like Leaves) & Adele (formerly Bing Goes to Monaco) with dreams of starting an all-girl band got together to form Gold Bloom, recruiting Keyte (extremely talented solo artist recently returned from Melbourne) & Behan (kick-ass drummer previously of British Robots). Goldbloom combine a heavy riff-based garage sound with strong melodic lines and unusual harmonies. 8-40 pm

Marcus Corowa (QLD)

Marcus Corowa is a singer/songwriter and musician of Aboriginal and South Sea Islander descent from Brisbane. 2010 saw Marcus start to receive wide recognition for his songwriting, being named a finalist in Queensland’s premier songwriting Awards – the Q Song Awards in the Indigenous Category. His stunning voice and songwriting ability is gaining interest across the industry with the recent release of his debut EP ‘The Greater You’. 9-20 pm

The Shaolin Afronauts (SA)

The mysterious afro-soul of the Shaolin Afronauts first echoed across the dance floors of Australia in 2008, heavily inspired by the sounds of 1970’s West Africa, Ethiopia and the pioneering avant-garde jazz artists of the same period. The Shaolin Afronaut’s critically acclaimed debut album, Flight of the Ancients, released in 2011, was nominated for ‘best world music album’ at the 2011 ARIA awards. 10-00 pm

Es Ist Super (SA)

Es Ist Super joined the indie/electronic scene with a cracking start! Their debut live show at Rocket Bar in June 2011, packed out and created a buzz that lead to them gaining management from 5/4 Entertainment. Es ist Super decided to dig up their roots, pick a coastal direction, and work on a more organic sound to call their own. The band are working on their first official single release in Jan 2012, called ‘Perfect Summer’. 10-40 pm

Sincerely, Grizzly (SA)

Participating in an American-Indian sweat to find their collective animal spirit guide, Calligeros, Farley and Mount summoned Sincerely, Grizzly; the bear spirit. In return for his guidance, he condemned them to eternal slavery. This has not been all bad for the band thusfar, recently being hand-picked to support Trail of Dead (US) in Melbourne and releasing a two-track single. 11-20 pm

Glass Towers (NSW)

Despite an average age of only 19, Sydney four piece, Glass Towers have gone from strength to strength since their formation in 2008. Glass Towers have shared the stage &  toured with bands such as Metronomy (UK), Tame Impala and Bluejuice as well as being chosen as finalists in Triple J’s Unearthed High Competition. Having recently recorded their debut EP, they’re already winning over a loyal fan base and catching the ears of the industry. 12-00 am

The Mission In Motion are preparing to release their much anticipated debut album “Somewhere Safe” in which the old adage of  what doesn’t kill you, only makes you stronger is reflected in the bands  best record to date. Comprising of front man Brett Islaub,  Chris Maguire (guitar & vocals), Kent Griffiths (guitar & vocals), Rohan Welsh (bass) and Lachlan Gray (drums) the quintet have already established themselves in the Australian musical landscape as one of the most promising acts. 12-30 am
