2012 Conference registrations now open
The Fuse Conference takes places over two days (23rd & 24th Feb 2012) in the Palace Nova Eastend Cinemas. Each year Fuse features a keynote speech from a key music industry figure. Glenn Wheatley (John Farnham), John Woodruff (Savage Garden), Hon Peter Garrett MP (Midnight Oil) and Martin Elbourne (Glastonbury Festival) have all graced the Fuse Festival Conference stage.
The Fuse Conference features informative panel discussions about the music industry’s most pressing issues. Representatives from all walks of music industry life discuss the challenges faced by up-and-coming bands such as independent vs major label distribution, touring issues and self-promotion and much more. The conference also tackles topical issues facing the industry as a whole such as the impact of changing technology, how to monetize music and the political landscape of the world music industry.
2012 Management Masterclass registrations now open
Fuse also runs intensive Masterclasses on the first day of the festival (Wednesday 22nd Feb 2012).
The Management Masterclass is a practical workshop for both artist managers and self-managed artists. Offering attendees a chance to delve deeply into the ins-and-outs of the music management game, current trends and handy insider hints. Past masters have come from all over the world and have included Jon Mcildowie (UK), Rev Moose (US), Mark Meharry (UK), Cath Haridy (VIC), Mike Gormley (US), Stephen Budd (UK)
